Please forgive me BUT the issue that I am trying to get a valid answer to is simple:  WHY DOES the Printer Information Report NOT INCLUDE the TIME AND DATE that the report is generated? Please help relieve my frustration over this! Thank You!

Welcome to the HP Community --

"Why"

Are you perhaps asking why the Printer Information report for your printer does not include a feature you want or expect?

The answer

The source of the information impacts the way the report is generated.

If the source does not generate the date and time as part of the report, that information will not be included.

For example,

The OfficeJet Pro 9135e (new format) EWS generates a Printer Information report that includes date and time.

The HP Envy Photo 7855 EWS Printer Information does not include the date and time.

Simple answer: The developer who worked on the OS for this printer did not deem time and date to be of importance on a consumer level product.

So, there you go.

Two ways of saying what you get depends on what was coded in the source.

If you need help adding the date or time to a saved file, let us know the file type so we might offer further help.
