HP ENVY Photo 7858 All-in-One Printer

Five years ago, I purchased the HP ENVY Photo 7858 All-in-One Printer, but it remained unboxed and unused until yesterday. Upon unboxing and attempting to install it, I encountered the following error message:

"The print carriage cannot move. Open the cartridge access door, clear any paper jam or obstruction, and select OK."

This being my first time using it, I thoroughly checked for any paper jams but found none. When attempting to print a test page, only the first quarter of the page would print before displaying the aforementioned error message. Clicking OK would cancel the printing and eject the paper, leaving only the top quarter printed.

Interestingly, printing an image from the photo tray yielded successful results. However, subsequent attempts at printing the test page failed to reproduce this success.
