the printer smokes when printing.

sometimes a printed page turns out like this

i have trird several times to print a 34 page document, however it always stops at page 20, 21, or 22. it ia as if it gets to hot to continue.

The smoke issue might be steam, many laser printers will look like they are smoking if the moisture content of the paper is too high and it gets vaporized as the page passes through the fuser. Making sure that you have the correct paper type set when printing can also help with the overheating issue but this problem seems to be more common on newer models with reformulated toners that take less heat to bond.

As for the print defects, that could be a problem with the printer or simply a corrupted driver or file that you are trying to print. Have you tried printing a different file from a different program such as a PDF?
