Examplenvy 5530 all in one printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

my wife changed out the color and black brand new hp valid cartridges and the printer accepted the black cartridge, but rejected the color cartridge.  she also made the mistake of throwing away the color cartridge and its not available, and the printer keeps telling her it is "ink cartridge problem"  "the following ink cartridge/s must be replaced"  and it has a pinkish color on the LCD Screen to indicate which cartridge needs to be replaced.  The printer will work in the single cartridge printer mode with a black only cartridge.  I've placed three brand new color cartridges into the printer and the same error message keeps returning on the LCD screen.  I tried to reset the printer, and all the other suggested "FIXES" from the virtual assistant online and the other suggested ideas from the a forums page, but nothing is resolving the issue.  My firmware is updated and as far as I can tell Windows 10 has not updated.

is there another way to repair the printer or does it need to be sent for repair at a facility, etc?  Any ideas or help will be appreciated.
