I have the same problem.

If I switch the empty color (start)cartridge with the one i received from HP instantink, than the printer shows: "There's a problem with one of the cartridges. If I put the old cartridge back, then there is no errormessage. So I presume the problem is the new color cartridge.

Purchased new color cartridges and installed after seeing “one or more cartridges appear to be damaged”. Installed new ones get same message. Tells me it is on the yellow cartridge.

I purchased the cartridges at Office Depot.

@PRCORBS,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

What is the product number of your HP Printer? Use this link to find it:  https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03754824  (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

Have you subscribed for Instant ink program?

Did you try to clean the ink cartridge contacts?

Have you tried to update the printer firmware?

Could you please respond to this post with the details so that I can provide you with accurate information which should help you resolve this issue.

Thank you 🙂
