macOS 12.0 Monterey

I am trying to solve the problem of my printer now mostly printing one line of random characters on the top of page after page (until paper runs out), instead of a pdf.  I haven't found any articles addressing the issue.  (I have deleted the printer, reinstalled current drivers, and re-added, with no success.)  And now I am trying to get some technical support from HP.  But when I enter my Samsung serial number in order to "Add a product to my profile," it says that the serial number is not registered.  Come on, HP -- do better by Samsung!

99% of the time this type of behavior with widgets printing out is caused by a wrong print driver being used or a corrupted print job. Do items other than a PDF print properly? I suggest that you uninstall all the driver and printer related software and perform a fresh install. There is also an minute chance that a bad printer cable could cause issues.

Thank you!  I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times.  The problem seems not necessarily to occur with Word documents.  And it is more likely to occur when I try to print wirelessly, via laptop, than with a wired desktop.

It seems to me possible that the issue is that although the printer is connected to my 5g network, it would do better on the 24 network -- but I also can't find for the life of me either the button combination on the printer, or the Easy Wireless Software install software to reset the SSID.  Any tips there would be gratefully appreciated.  I am running Monterey as Mac OS and perhaps the issue is that the old installer software is not available for Monterey.

Appears to be little no no information posted on this device at HP, not even a user guide. One work around would be to change the SSID on your router for the 5Ghz channel and then set the 2.4 Ghz SSID to what the 5Ghz channel was and our printer should connect to the 2.4.
