HP ENVY 24 23.8-inch IPS Monitor with Beats Audio
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I recently upgraded my Optimum Cable Box from Scientific Atlanta (SA) brand to Samsung brand due to Optimum discontinuing support for SA. MY HP ENVY24 montior is used both as a TV monitor via CDMI connection and PC monitor via SVGA connection.  Since the upgrade to the Samsung cable box, I no longer receive any channel #, channel info, Guide info, or on Demand info.  The TV picture & audio are perfect.  The Samsung cable box does work fine with other TVs in my house.  I have also used a Roku device on the CDMI port which works fine.  Calls to Optimum have been unsuccessful - all things check out remotely.  Optimum says it is not their box since it works with other TVs but does not acknowledge a difference between SA & Samsung cable box only that the Samsung is a new & improved version.

Anyone know if there had been a spec change on the CDMI interface over the years?  The SA box maybe 8 years old.

This forum is for Samsung labelled printing devices only. Any other Samsung hardware is still supported by Samsung directly. Only the printing business was purchased by HP.

Thanks for the reply.  There does seem to be a monitor category to select when posting.  I am sure there is a synchornization issue here.

Sorry typo - there does not appear to be a monitor category when posting.
