Hello,
I have a Samsung S6 Smartphone and a HP 1415fnw printer/scanner/fax, where the HP SMART App will not install on the S6 Smartphone.
When I attempt the SMART App for Android install from the Google Play website, I immediate get an error message that the version of SMART App on the Google Play website I tried to install is not compatible with HP's SMART App. The HP Support website pages for SMART App for Android claim that SMART App is compatible with Android v5 like mine and also the 1415fnw printer.
I previously used HP ePrint Services with the S6 and 1415fnw for 2 over years, but ePrint had to be reinstalled recently when I reset my S6 Smartphone settings. The HP and Google Play websites wouldthen not allow the ePrint Services download and forwarded me to the HP SMART App download. Is there a way I can download past discontinued versions of HP ePrint Services for Android from a website other than Google Play?
The S6 Smartphone and 1415fnw printer both have the latest OEM firmware updates and I downloaded the latest version of HP Smart App earier today. The 1415fnw printer is recognized by Win10 PCs as both a wired and wireless printer where the IP address is static and reserved by the DHCP Router.
It is sad when HP lists software as compatibile with Android v5 and later and the 1415fnw printer, but the SMART App no longer works correctly. HP seems to update software drivers by discontinuing previous versions that worked, but fails to either notify current users about the change and/or does not adequately test new driver versions for backwards compatibility - despite what their webpages say...
Any constructive suggestions for fixing or testing these concerns (other than buy a new printer) are appreciated!

Hi,
The HP Smart app is not supported on Android 5, only on Android OS 7 or later versions.
For Android 5, you may try using the HP Print Service Plugin to print instead:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hp.android.printservice&hl=iw
For detailed usage information, see below support document:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04024231
If you see any information listing otherwise for the HP Smart app, will be glad to know where, as I couldn't see any such indication in the HP Smart support document for Android 5 compatibility:
