Samsung Xpress SL-M2835DW Laser Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

After my Samsung Xpress SL-M2835DW reported less than 10% of toner remaining, I purchased a new Samsung MLT-D116S black toner cartridge from Office Depot.  The printer appears to be able to print as usual using the new cartridge, but the printer continues to report that the toner cartridge is low/empty.

The SyncThru Web Service shows the Black Toner Cartridge is 0%, and there is an active alert of C1-1150 with this description:

"The machine has determined that the Toner Cartridge has reached its end-of-life cycle. Immediate user intervention is required to replace the Cartridge. Printing can still continue, all other machine services (if installed) are unaffected."

The replacement toner cartridge box looked to be an actual Samsung cartridge, and the Office Depot website says the Manufacturer of that cartridge is HP INC.

Anybody know how to reset the printer to get it to see the new toner, or to otherwise clear the error?  Do I have a faulty cartridge?
