My 5 years old printer for last 2 years was telling me I should replace a toner, so finally I bought new one, original Samsung MLT-111S, but when I put it in printer told me "Not compatible toner".
Ooops!
My first attempt to solve the problem is to update the firmware, I tried use there updated firmware from samsung help page
but could do it.
here what usblist2 does
E:\distr\drivers\Samsung XPress M2070FW Printer\Firmware - SL-M2070F_4in1_V3.00.01.27>usblist2.exe M2070F_V3.00.01.27.hd USBLIST2 Version 1.0(08/20/2002) Printing to SPL,URF,FAX,FWV,PIC,EXT,DCU Printing....(9306112/9306232) Printing complete...!
and after that nothing happends
another thought was that I bought printer originaly in Russia and now toner in Switzerland and maybe be they have some restrictions, but obviously I have no grounds for that theory
Any thoughts?

Just want to make sure. Was the empty toner the same no as the new toner? It could be that there is a country conflict but not sure myself.I will look out for the answer on this post.Replace the old unit and see if the problem is resolved. This way we can try and eliminate the error.Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply
Both toner look almost the same, the only difference is in old one sign on a back says "Replace with MLT-D111S" and on a new one says "replace with MLT-D111S/ELS"
... I am checking whether is old one still working ...
... everything ok, printer only complaining about "Replace new cartridge" but I am still able to print on an old one.
put again new one, still says "Not compatible toner cartridge"

Is the old toner first one you used, the one you received with new printer ?
I am asking this because both toners as you say have "Replace with" text on them, that means that they are introductory toners that you received with new printer, and the printe will not recognise 2 introductory toners only one.
The 2nd toner you bought did it came in original sealed box ?

Just want to make sure if you bought the printer in Switzerland,or from another country.I still think you are having a area or country code problem.

No, the printer itself I bought in Russia, 5 years ago. But new cartridge I bought in Switzerland.
P.S. btw I just now asked myself a question "Why am I asking Samsung printer question on a HP support forum" %)
