Hello, I own a (samsung) Xpress M2026W laser printer (SL-M2026W).
When i turn on the printer, the power button turn blue, and the power light below turns on green.
But it doesn't make any sound, and the printer is completely blocked.
Either does the WPS button or the power button work (I cannot even turn off the computer) and I cannot detect it neither with usb cable or with wifi.
The problem happened suddenly.
Another request on the HP community has been open on the same issue, but no answer has been given to the problem.

It would be great to get some answer on this subject please.

Hi @dambz ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your Samsung Xpress SL-M2026W printer is experiencing a startup or hardware issue. Given that the printer powers on (indicated by the blue power button and green power light) but is unresponsive, here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot:

1. Perform a Power Reset

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Leave it unplugged for about 5–10 minutes to reset any internal circuits.
  • Plug it back in and try turning it on again.

2. Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions

  • Even though you mentioned no sound, sometimes a paper jam or an internal blockage can cause the printer to freeze at startup. Open all accessible doors and check for any paper jams or debris.

3. Try Different Power Sources

  • Plug the printer into a different power outlet or surge protector to rule out electrical issues that might be causing the printer to not start properly.

4. Check the USB Connection and WiFi

  • If the printer is connected via USB, make sure the cable is firmly connected or try using a different USB cable or port.
  • For WiFi, ensure that the printer’s network settings haven’t been disrupted. Since the WPS button and power button are unresponsive, this might be harder to troubleshoot directly.

5. Try a Hard Reset (If Available)

  • Some printers have a factory reset button or combination of buttons you can press to reset the device. If your model has this feature, try using it to see if the printer will recover.

6. Update or Reinstall the Printer Driver

  • If the printer is still unresponsive, try reinstalling or updating the drivers on your computer. This may be difficult if the printer isn't detected, but sometimes the computer can recognize it when rebooted or after a reset.

I hope this helps.
