Hi, some help please

I have a Samsung Xpress M2026 laser printer which I cannot get to print on my Linux Mint 19.2 system. I have downloaded driver Uld_V1.00.39_01.17.tar.gz into the download folder then opened it with the Archive manager. In the printer localhost it shows as Samsung-M2020 series. Within the properties box under settings it shows printer state as idle when I initiate a print test page there is a click from the printer but nothing happens then after a short pause a message appears"printing complete" but there is no print out.

    After many hours playing with this I am at a loss, can someone help please
