Thank you Dmo99
You solved my problem.
PaperCuts Mobile worked like a charm on both Mac and Windows.
Only one downside as it is a server the computer it is on must be running.
Used my partners windows machine as it is always on.
Thanks again

I'm having the same issue- Samsung (HP) M2885FW: It hasnt been found by my iOS devices for several weeks now. I have 4 ioS devices: iPhone 14, iPhone Xr, iPad Mini 6 and iPad 9 and only the Xr can still print. It is running ios 16 and the others (which could print previously). I have a case open with Apple who is investigating.....
All network hardware is up to date.
If this is a problem relating to an old NIC, is HP going to release a patch to bring the printer into the year 2024?
And thank you for the WIndows possible solution, but we do not keep our machines running 24/7, so it is not a good solution for us. 🙂

Have a client that is experiencing the same issue with her Samsung Xpress SL-M2830DW printer. The problem is not with your printer. The problem is there is a bug with iOS 17 (related to Bonjour). So, Apple needs to fix this. FYI iOS 17.3 was not a solution.

I spoke with Apple support and was told that the iOS update caused the problem and that Samsung or HP would have to update the firmware in the printer. Apple engineers would not fix the issue unless there were enough complaints.
I did manage to contact support for Samsung printers and was told a business decision ended support for these old printers.
Despite claims about “green” technology, it comes down to business; selling more product and profit

Hello Bobkwiat,
Thank you for the informative update. In speaking with Apple support, did they mention how do people contact them asking them to fix this issue? Can you point me in the right direction?
Thank you!

I contacted Apple support via the support app. The support agent sent me a link so that I can leave feedback at Apple. Here's the links for iPad and iPhone respectively:
https://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad/
https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone/
Please fill free to use these links to leave feedback about this AirPrint bug in iOS 17. if enough people make there voices heard, Apple will have to address this and come up with a fix.
Thank you!
