Samsun ML-1610 Printer

Dear Sir/Madam,

I own a Samsung ML-1615 printer and would like to use it with a device running macOS Monterey (version 12.x). However, I have been unable to find a compatible driver for this model despite searching your official website and other sources.

I kindly request your assistance in this matter. Could you please provide me with the appropriate driver to enable the use of this printer on macOS Monterey? If this model is no longer supported, I would appreciate it if you could suggest an alternative solution or inform me whether a universal driver is available.

Thank you in advance for your time and support.

Best regards.

@erkanugurlu, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Samsung ML-1615 Printer on macOS Monterey!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Unfortunately, specific drivers for the Samsung ML-1615 printer on macOS Monterey (version 12.x) are not available directly from HP.

As an alternative, you might consider the following options:

HP Easy Start: HP Easy Start is a utility that helps you set up your HP printer on a Mac. You can attempt to use HP Easy Start to see if it can support or find a compatible driver for your Samsung ML-1615 printer. You can download it from the HP support website.

HP Easy Start Download

Apple AirPrint: You can use Apple's built-in AirPrint technology to print wirelessly from your Mac to AirPrint-enabled printers. While this might not be applicable to the Samsung ML-1615, it is a common solution for many newer HP printers.

Universal Print Driver: You could try HP's Universal Print Driver which offers support for many HP printers on different macOS versions.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Dear HP Support Team,

Thank you for your response and for suggesting alternative options.

I have already clicked the "HP Easy Start Download" link and carefully followed the provided steps. However, I can confirm that there is no compatible MacOS driver for the Samsung ML-1610 (which is nearly identical to ML-1615) available through that route.

I am reaching out again to request direct support or an alternative driver solution for the Samsung ML-1610 on MacOS Monterey. If there are any legacy drivers, third-party recommendations officially supported by HP, or any technical workarounds, I would appreciate it if you could share them.

Looking forward to your guidance on how to proceed.

Best regards,

@erkanugurlu, Thanks for following up, and I truly understand how frustrating this situation can be.

Unfortunately, the Samsung ML-1615 (and similar models like the ML-1610) is no longer supported on macOS Monterey, and we don’t have any official HP or legacy drivers for this version of macOS. I also want to clarify that we can’t recommend or support third-party drivers, as they may not be secure or reliable.

While I know that’s not the answer you were hoping for, your best option might be to consider a newer model that supports AirPrint or has verified Monterey compatibility to ensure a smoother experience.

We're always here to help with any further questions.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
