Hello.

 

For those "lucky" ones as I am, who rushed to upgrade to macOS Big Sur and found printer broker, there's a solution.

I have spent a couple of hours trying different drivers downloaded from here or "samsung-drivers.com".

Search no more. I know this post relates to Catalina, but it works like a charm for Big Sur as well -- https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Samsung/OSX-Catalina-driver-for-SCX-3504W/m-p/7842601/highlight/true#M...

Oh, and yes -- scanning also works. Just make sure to use it from System & Preferences > Printers & Scanners > [Select your printer] > Scanner tab > Open Scanner
