Samsung ProXpress SL-M3320ND Laser Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi. I have a Samsung ProXpress M3320ND. I am getting an SPL ERROR - Incomplete session by time out (Error code 11-1112).

I have seen on the forums that the solution is to upgrade the firmware. The instructions on the readme file of the firmware (here: Samsung ProXpress SL-M3320ND Laser Printer Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Customer Support)  only show the options for embedded web servers and for USB printers that have an integrated display. This Samsung printer does not have a web interface, nor an embedded display.

How can I update the firmware?

Thanks.

Download the firmware zip file you provided a link for, unzip the file and you will find the instructions for upgrading via USB.  Likely you will need to hold the stop button while powering on and wait about 10 seconds and then press stop once more. If that does not work, post back and I will see if I can find other instructions.

You state there is not Embedded Web server but the model number you list should have network capability but you will need to connect the printer to your network.

Thanks for your reply. Would it be enough to connect the printer to my home router via ethernet, and then download the "Set IP" app?

Does HP have specific instructions on how to set this up (how to connect the printer to a network), or is it just pretty standard? (hooking up to the router and then selecting "Add new printer" on windows 10.

Finally, I see there are a lot of drivers listed on the HP webpage. What is the difference between:

Samsung Universal Print Driver for Windows

and

Samsung SL-M332x, 382x, 402x Series Print Driver

Also, is Samsung Easy Printer Manager needed? I have it installed, but I don't understand why HP told me to install it. Can Windows not handle it natively?

Thank you
