My Samsung C480W printer recently only prints (many) blank pages with only 1 line of (strange) characters. Both when using wireless wifi and also wired from my MacBook Pro (MacOS 10.15.1). From my iPhone 7 (iOS 13.2.3) I can print normally. What is the problem and how can I solve this?

Same problem with Mac OS 10.15 Catalina and Samsung C480FW using Airprint.  Very, very frustrating.  An Excel file with three worksheets -

worksheet 1 - spews out pages with strange characters.  I stop it.  Close all apps and restart MacBook.  Worksheet 1 prints fine.

worksheet 2 - prints fine

worksheet 3 - spews out pages with strange characters.  I stop it.  Close all apps and restart MacBook.  Remove printer and add again.  try again - spews out pages with strange characters.  Remove printer and add again.  try again - spews out pages with strange characters.

Immensely frustrating as there is no way of telling when the printer will suddenly decide the start spewing out pages.

Very wasteful of paper - poor for the environment.  I rang about this back on 14 October and was told I'd have to wait for new printer drivers that would take two weeks.  But it's not clear if AirPrint should work - my printer is on the list that is supported by Apple.
