Samsung Xpress SL-C480 Color Laser Multifunction Printer series
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The specifications of the Samsung C480W indicate that it can load photo paper up to 220g, but that sheets need to be loaded into the tray one at a time. I'm using HP Professional 200g glossy laser photo paper, but the printer only jams when I try to print. It only draws the paper part way in before it stops.

Any tips?

With normal Paper 90g works fine but using paper with 160 g the printer  jams.

Hi I would like to assist to the best of my ability to solve your problem.I hope the information i supply will be of help.

Using different thickness of paper you must also adjust the type to cardstock or heavy paper in the printers properties. This will help the machine to adjust the printing for that type and thickness of paper.Hope this will help.

Yes, I am aware of this.

I’m having the same problem. Did you find a solution?

Unfortunately, no. I've found a cheaper, thinner glossy paper to use. Unfortunately it's no replacement for actual photo paper, and that is the only proper photo paper for laser printers I am able to get.

It appears Samsung doesn't deliver on the promises in the specifications for this product.

Did you adjust paper thickness to "170g to 220g glossy" selection

yes

It may be that the pickup roller is worn and cannot reliably feed the heavier paper. What is the condition of the pickup roller,  surface should have fine ridges on it. If it is smooth, replacing the roller might make it possible to feed the heavier paper.

It would surprise me greatly if this were the case, and cause for a separate complaint, as the printer has not seen very much use yet. I would estimate only a couple of hundred pages printed.
