Printer won't print even test page. Printer status says Yellow toner cartridge is incompatible when all cartridges are same.  All 50% full.  I only want to print black for now.  Any thoughts on how to get printer to recognise the cartridge or just print black?

Either the chip on the cartridge has failed or the contacts in the printer are bad. At 50% I would inquire with HP about a warranty replacement. As for black only printing, or printing with one color missing is not supported because it causes an imbalance in the voltages on the HVPS.
