I'm still trying to get my Samsung M2070W multi function device to work properly under macOS 10.15 and up. The two main problems for me are:
_You can no longer directly scan to a PDF. The resulting files are corrupt and can't be opened.
(only workaround I could find so far was to switch the scan from color to black-and-white mode. That works fine. Colour scans just don't work anymore)
_Sometimes when printing a document the printer just spits out all the available pages and prints some cryptic signs on it. How really an environmentally friendly situation.
I've already tried installing the latest available version (V3.92.00) of the Samsung Universal Print and Scan Driver, manually uninstalled and installed it again and made sure that I've selected the proper driver instead of an AirPrint connection.
HP and Samsung have so far refused to address this issue.

hi
Ive updated to Catalina now, all good so far, printer prints fine with the latest driver. But i cant work out how to scan? The driver says its a print and scan driver.
I used to have a bit of software but dont know what that was now? think it was "scan assistant:
What is the process for scanning?
UPDATE
Just found out that Scan Assistant is part of Easy printer Manager" fro Samsung and thats not updated for Catalina. Wonderful!! tried installing Easy Printer manager for Mojave on Catalina, that didnt work, Now what?
any help appreciated.

Try installing the ICDM driver package which is on the driver folder https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/SS/Print_Common_SW/Samsung_Mac_10.15_Driver_V3.92... , and try with Image Capture.

If that is the case you'll have to look for a 3rd party scan software to scan, this post explains it:
Sorry 😓
