I would check the minimum version of "SMB Client" permitted  by the Samsung printer (in the device settings "digital send - server") to match the SMB level accepted by the PC (you can browse different shell a line command to check which SMB version is enabled).
The Windows version alone should not be an important factor... good luck

I chcked on my printer connected to a windows 2012 and only works with SMB1 enabled.

The printer is updated to latest fw but no way to scan to a server directlory using SMB2.x

Must be a defect in the network software  of the printer

See this link for information regarding support of SMB levels. According to the document your series should support SMB V2, but you will need to make sure you have the current firmware installed.

In my case: M4580 firmware v. V5.H6.00 the "Scan to SMB" only works if enabling SMB1 on Windows side. The article list M4580 as capable of of SMB2 & 3.

In the Windows Server 2012 R2 I have enabled both SMB1 and SMB2.

Any other settings on the printer to enable SMB2.x ?
