Product: Samsung Xpress SL-M2825DW Laser Printer
Operating System: Other

No error messages were given and the prints came out, but smoking is not a good sign, especially near curtains. Should I trash this machine or can it be fixed somehow?

Yknow, maybe it was steam from the paper . It’s a brand new package of paper I was using. Nothing else changed since any previous print job…

Was it smoke or steam? I ask because Samsung devices are notorious for steaming when paper has a high humidity content and people often mistake this for smoke. If it was indeed smoke then either something is caught in the machine such as a rodent or paper.
