I realise this has already been asked but wanted to know if there was an answer provided that resolved the issue. I tried doing a factory reset, suggestion of pressing "1", "2" and "3" at the same time but that didn't do anything. I downloaded firmware from the HP site and that didn't seem to do anything either. So any comments to get this working again would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Henry0001
Welcome to HP Support Community!
We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so, here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊
Thanks for hanging in there — that stuck logo screen on the Samsung Xpress SL-C1860FW can be a real headache. Let’s try a few approaches that have helped others bring their printers back to life:
🧰 Option 1: Power Cycle + USB Print Trigger
This quirky method has surprisingly worked for some users:
- Turn off the printer using the power switch.
- Leave it powered off for 3–4 days (yes, days), with all cables still connected.
- On your PC, install Samsung Easy Printer Manager 1.05.82.00.
- Restart your PC.
- While the printer is still off, send a print job from your PC.
- Power on the printer while the print job is queued.
This can sometimes “wake” the display and bypass the stuck logo screen.
🔧 Option 2: Deep Power Drain + Firmware Refresh
If the above doesn’t help:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- While unplugged, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to drain residual power.
- Leave it unplugged for 2–3 days.
- Reconnect and power on — if the screen returns, immediately update the firmware using the latest file from HP’s support page to stabilize the system.
Let me know how far you'd like to go with this — I can help you track down the right firmware, walk through the update process, or even locate a replacement board if needed. You're doing all the right things so far.
Let's see if we can get that screen to light up again.
