C460W
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I am having a problem with my C460W printer. While trying to solve some issues with it and upgrade its firmware, it got locked on the "F/W Upgrade Mode Upgrade Mode" message. When I click on the "C46xW_Upgrade_Patch" I can see it through USB comms but then it says "Your printer has been updated to the latest version of firmware" so won't let me do any update. The "usblist2" does not want to open, when I click on it blinks a fraction of a second but does not open.

The web interface does not seem to work. When I hit the printer IP address on my browser it starts searching but eventually times out.

Any solution on how to fix this, please? I don't want to scrap this printer as it was working fine before this firmware upgrade attempt.

Thanks to you all.

I checked the service manual and this error is typically generated if a firmware update is interrupted. First suggestion is to power off, unplug, leave for a few minutes and restart and that should clear the error.

Thanks for the reply Repairatrooper. I just gave it a try, unplugged the printer, left it off for about 10min...Plugged it back in... the same screen shows up after the "initialize system" message appears.

Any other option or solution please ?

Thanks,
