Scanner locked on Samsung Xpress M2070W

hi, anyone knows how to unlock  the scanner of Samsung Xpress M2070W?, just unboxed it.

Hi, the scanner lock is actually a physical locking mechinism. It is not a control panel option.
the scanner is locked in a safe position before they ship the unit to prevent damage to the scanner.

I believe that this sliding latch can be located ( while looking straight at the unit ) on the under side of the scanner, above the area where the paper comes out, more to the left hand side.

locate the latch and slide it from the locked position to the unlock position.

Press stop/clear button to clear the error and try again.

I am not quite expirienceing the same issue.

My scanner suddenly just scans a small stripe of the scanning surface. See the attached image. 

I was thinking that I might have activate the lock, but couldn't locate the sliding latch...

Would you have any idea,  what could cause this sudden change in functioning?
