Hello,
Suddenly my Imac tells me that I can't print because my software is missing for my Samsung M2070. I've been using it for 5 years, NO problem. Suddenly it's missing and I can't download it for the mac

Hi @Mnz145,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like a frustrating issue! If your iMac suddenly can't find the drivers for your Samsung M2070, here's a step-by-step guide to try and resolve it.
Check Compatibility:
- Ensure that your iMac's operating system version is compatible with the Samsung M2070 drivers. Sometimes, after a macOS update, older drivers may no longer be supported.
Download Drivers:
- Samsung printers are now part of HP after their acquisition. You can try downloading the drivers from HP's official website:
- Go to the HP Support website.
- Search for "Samsung M2070."
- Download and install the latest driver available for macOS.
Install Generic Printer Drivers:
- If specific drivers are unavailable, you can use the built-in macOS printer drivers:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the + button to add your printer.
- Select your printer from the list. macOS may offer a generic driver if the specific one isn't available.
Re-add the Printer:
- Remove the printer from your list and re-add it:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Select your Samsung M2070 and click the - button to remove it.
- Restart your iMac.
- Go back to Printers & Scanners and click the + button to add your printer again.
Check for Software Updates:
- Sometimes, updating macOS can resolve driver compatibility issues:
- Go to System Preferences > Software Update.
- Check if there are any available updates and install them.
Reset Printing System:
- As a last resort, you can reset the printing system, but note that this will remove all printers and scanners:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Right-click (or Control-click) in the printer list and choose Reset printing system.
- Confirm the reset and re-add your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
