You are most likely dealing with an incompatibility between the Arris modem and the wifi built in to the printer. Newer modems typically use the current 5Ghz standard which is supposed to be backward compatible but in the real world that compatibility with older wireless is spotty. Easiest solution is to configure your ARRIS modem so that the 2.4 Ghz channel has a different SSID from the 5Ghz channel and only allow the printer to connect to the 2.4Ghz channel.
