I upgraded to OS Catalina the sumsung clx-3300 was working locally oké. I had a printer sharing issue. To resolve this I was advised to install the printer software and to reinstall.

 

However the installation doesn’t have a valid certificate and it won’t install anymore! no error message just no installation.

 

I have restored the printer from backup. The printer works. Only easyPrintManager can’t find the scanner software. No specific error message. When scan to PC is triggered on the printer, the scan software crashes. And this worked on 10.15!

 

are there more directories that need to be restored?

@HP please release https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/SS/SL-K2200/EasyPrinterManager_Mac_V1.02.07.zip with a valid certificate.

Note: I uninstalled the printer with the Samsung uninstalled so unfortunately it was properly uninstalled

Sorry the problem is apparently deeper inside the package. It suggests it is installing but after you run the installation, nothing is installed. The problem seems to be with a temporary dir that is now created inside the sandbox and other parts of the script still use the old reference.
