Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

My Samsung Xpress c480 only partially scans - I have tried using a windows PC and a iMac - same partial result.

You mean that the printer just scans one side of the page or that you're having connection issues when you scan and it disconnects in the middle of the scan job? If it is the first, it could be a hardware issue, you can try to clear the memory but it doesn't do anything in most cases.
