samsung M4580FX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

the scan to email function on the Samsung M4580FX printer has failed recently when it functioned properly for years. i understand Microsoft changed the way it handled emails and the smtp server i use on the printer is M365 settings. this Microsoft change also affected the Kyocera printers i have but found the settings to adjust to resolve the failed scans. the Samsung does not have similar settings.  has anyone else run into this problem recently and where did you find the resolution?

my settings:

smtp server = smtp.office365.com

port # = 25

connection encrypt = TLS

the sending account credentials are verified and smtp is enabled. any suggestions are appreciated.

thanks in advance

Make sure the firmware is up to date or the device will not support TLS 1.2 as now required by Microsoft

thanks so much for this suggestion. this seemed to resolve my issue. the firmware update supports the correct version of TLS.
