I just got back from a week of vacation and none of my offices HP scanners work anymore.

No windows updates were installed (checked via update history) 
All panasonic scanners still work on the same devices.

All computers affected had exisiting hp scan software/drivers installed

All are windows 11 and only affecting windows 11, windows 10 is fine for some reason

Trying to use HP Scan says incorrect drivers installed

device manager shows the devices but has microsofts ksthunk.sys instead of anything HP 

Also it shows under other devices 2 more of the scanners greyed out. 

Ive tried to remove all instances but under printerui.exe /s I cant remove the hp printer drivers as they are always "in use"

Ive deleted the devices from settings/control panel then device manager I uninstalled it.

I've run into the same thing--though I thought it was Windows Update related. My department is dead in the water with the 3000s and 4000s that we have though I have heard from a separate department that they have not had any issues with their scanners (same models). According to Device Manager, the scanners are connected with no issues (though using some default driver from 2006 which will not let me update). As soon as we try using HP Scan software, it's no-go, with the error that there are Incompatible Scan Drivers. Even using the HP Scan software to find updated software, it still doesn't cooperate.
