Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

After reading your post I did go through the Product Specifications for the HP DeskJet 2755 All-in-One Printer and found out your printer support scanning functions and also drivers are available for Software and drivers for HP DeskJet 2755 All-in-One Printer

Firstly, let's update the printer firmware from HERE and try to scan.
If the issue persists, try the below workaround:

  1. On the keyboard, press the Windows flag and the R key simultaneously. The Run window opens.
  2. Type services.msc and OK. The Services (local) window opens.
  3. Double-click on Windows Image Acquisition, then click on the Log On tab.
  4. Check Local System Account and Allow the service to interact with the office.
  5. Click on the Dependencies tab and check that Remote Procedure Call (RPC) and Shell Hardware Detection exist in the first window.
  6. Click on the General tab, and restart the service by clicking on Stop, then Start.
  7. Close the Services window.
  8. Try to scan.

And, also refer to the article How to scan with an HP printer- https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2275901-2074064-16
