Why do I need to  half-dismantle my printer/scanner to fix a 'temporary memory issue'?  Pulling cartridges and unplugging the power cord at both ends...Why?

Hi @T-rickster,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The error code B8093B62 typically indicates a temporary issue with your HP OfficeJet 8010e, often related to memory or the printer's internal components. To resolve this, you may need to perform a reset and check the installation of cartridges. Here are some steps to help you troubleshoot and fix this error:

Power Reset:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer and also from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer and the power source.
  • Turn the printer back on.

Check and Reinstall Cartridges:

  • Open the cartridge access door.
  • Carefully remove each cartridge from its slot.
  • Check for any tape or blockage on the cartridge contacts.
  • Reinsert the cartridges securely back into their respective slots and ensure they are properly aligned.

Ensure Proper Connections:

  • Verify that all USB cables or network connections are properly connected and functioning.
  • If you are using a USB connection, try connecting directly to the computer without any hubs.

Update Firmware:

  • Visit https://support.hp.com/us-en to check if there's a firmware update for your printer model. Updating the printer’s firmware can help resolve known bugs and issues.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
