We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Possible hardware issue. Whether copying or scanning the document goes through the scanner completely, however, the system keeps pushing as if there were a jam. Eventually it will timeout and report an ADF jam. If another sheet is inserted during this time before the timeout, the first scan finishes and then hangs on the next sheet. It seems as if there is no senseing of the end of the scanned sheet. Looking for guidance on this.

I will try and give some information.Make sure that the flag sensors are not stuck in the ADF unit.Sometimes the sensor get stuck and also unhooks from the right position.This might help.

Thank you for posting your query. I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are facing issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer wherein the ADF does not detect that the image is scanned even after the paper is scanned and hence will time out and give an ADF jam error.

 

This could be a hardware issue with the ADF.

 

However, I suggest that you update the firmware from the link: Firmware Update

 

If the issue still persists, please contact HP phone support from this link: www.hp.com/contacthp
You may select the country and type the product# of the unit and then follow the on-screen instructions to contact HP phone support.

Initially I had updated and reload firmware with no help.

 

 

Once I was able to open the ADF I saw the flag sticking in the loaded position. Blew it out and it now works fine.
