when i load docs into the ADF and click scan on the HP Smart App, the document will scan but nothing will appear on the screen when completed. Its showing up as a blank doc. If I go to save the blank doc and then open it, I'm receiving a "cannot open" message.

I know the ADF is working because I can send the scans to my email and they are fine.

I've tried a factory reset on the printer and re downloaded the HP Smart app. Still having the issue.

I'm assuming there is a software glitch. Any ideas here? Very annoyed by it.

@ScanningIssues

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Are you able to make copies from the printer?

Firstly, let's update the printer's firmware, refer - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

And. also use different methods to scan - https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2275901-2074064-16

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
