I have a MFP M476DW.  The ink cartridges are getting too expensive for this old machine.  My printer does everything on any kind/size paper - but it's a beast.  I do not want a bigger printer, but I want something that does everything the M476 does.  I'm looking at the highly rated MFP M283FDW.  The M476DW has ADF Scanning and Printing.  I saw in a review the M283FDW doesn't have ADF scanning?  Yet the specs say it has automatic duplexing.  Can anyone confirm?

Hi,

The M283FDW does not offer ADF duplex scan capabilities.

 

It offers automatic print duplex capabilities only, automatically print on both sides of the page.

 

It's ADF is a standard feeder, does not offer any duplex scan capabilities.

You may check the HP LaserJet Pro 4101fdw printer which offers single-pass ADF duplex for copuing and scanning:
