Officejet 9015
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just bought a new 9015 printer. The flatbed scanner works as usual when scanned to computer from the small screen on the printer, and opens the scanned file to the destination folder. The ADF scanner appears to work when scanned to computer from the small screen on the printer, however the file doesn't go to the scanned document destination folder. It doesn't seem to go anywhere. Nothing happens even though the small screen on the printer confirms it worked. When using any scanning software from the computer the ADF scan works as it should, just not from scan to pdf feature from the actual printer.  My old 8710 worked fine for this. I've exhausted all my options and wasted too many hours trying to figure this out when it should be a simple fix considering the scanner works in every other manner than the way I prefer to use it.

@RyanCox21, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Use the Destination section in HP Scan to find or change where your scan files are saved.

NOTE:

If you are scanning from the printer control panel, use HP Scan to find the default folder your scans are saved to.

  1. In HP Scan, select a Save as shortcut, and then click More.

  2. Click the Destination tab.

The folder your scans save to displays under Save To Folder.

Finding the folder scans are saved to

  3. To change the default folder, click Browse.

  4. Navigate to the folder you want to save your scans to, and then click OK.

  5. To save the new folder as the default location for the shortcut, click the Save icon  next to the shortcut.

  6. Repeat these steps for any other Save as shortcuts.

Followed those instructions. Still nothing when using the "Save as PDF" feature via ADF on the printer touch screen. The app works fine.

I recommend you delete the driver and root level and retry, follow the steps below:

1) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2) Select your HP Printer

3) Select Uninstall

4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’

6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.

7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe”

😎 Click on the “Drivers” tab

9) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10) Select Ok

11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12) Close Devices and Printers.

Use this link to download and install the new driver. Configure the printer and try scanning.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
