I am seeking a solution for my printer ( as noted ) that I can place on my desktop to print and/or scan documents.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

Check out this Resource on how to install the Software.  If you need the software, download it from:


https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.

Alternatively, this link will also help to download and install the FULL feature software.

https://123.hp.com/us/en/

 

Once installed, you will be able to print and scan.

 

This resource (example) show how to download and install the FULL featured software.
