I'm looking for a way to add a timestamp to the destination network folder. This option is available in the scan software, but this isn't useful if the printer is remote.

As mentioned - I know those settings are in the software, however when you use scan to network folder from the MFD it uses the settings entered in the admin web page:

you should have admin rights over the network.

I do have admin rights and scan to folder is working fine. However with multiple users, simply adding "scan" or more accurately a static prefix is extremely limited.

 

I think we're boiling down to, it's not possible from the MFD but is from the software, which is not overly helpful. Case in point - I want to scan a bunch of receipts as separate files, I would have to go from the printer to the computer for each individual receipt just to add a timestamp!

 

(I do appreciate the help though!)
