Hi @Aquaconnect , Welcome to HP Support Community!

The HP ScanJet Pro N4000 snw1 does not have a universal default password for the administrative web interface (EWS) or network settings when it is new or after a factory reset.
By default, there is no password set for the administrator login.
You should be able to access the Embedded Web Server (EWS) or network configuration settings by simply leaving the password field blank when prompted.

How to Access the Scanner and Set a Password:
Find the scanner's IP address: You can find the IP address on the scanner's control panel under the Network or Wireless settings menu.
Open a web browser: On a computer connected to the same network, open a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.).
Enter the IP address: Type the IP address into the browser's address bar and press Enter.
Log in: The EWS interface will open. If a login prompt appears, the username is usually "admin" or is pre-filled, and the password field should be left blank.
Set a new password (Recommended): Once logged in, navigate to the Security or Network tab to set a custom administrator password to secure your scanner's settings.

If a Password Has Been Set and Forgotten:
If you previously set a password and have forgotten it, the only way to regain access is to perform a factory reset of the scanner. This will erase all custom network settings and the forgotten password, returning the device to its default, password-free state.

To perform a factory reset:
Go to the scanner's control panel.
Navigate to the Settings or Setup menu.
Look for an option like Service, Restore defaults, or Factory Reset.
Select the option and confirm the reset.
After the reset completes, you will need to reconfigure the network settings, and you can log into the EWS with a blank password field.
The HP ScanJet Pro N4000 snw1, like most modern HP networkable devices, uses a unique, factory-set 8-digit PIN as its default password. There is no universal "admin" or "password" default.

Finding the Default PIN
The default PIN is located on a label on the scanner itself:
Locate the sticker: Look inside the scanner's front cover/access door or on the back of the device.
Find the PIN: The label will contain the 8-digit PIN, often located near a barcode and a lock symbol or the word "PIN".
You will use the username admin and this unique PIN to log into the scanner's Embedded Web Server (EWS) or the control panel's administrator settings.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
