After the recent software update: i cannot combine all scan pages at one time

I'm trying to scan 4 combined documents to one file: this issue has occurred after a software update I did recently.

I understand you're unable to combine multiple scanned pages into a single file after a recent software update on macOS High Sierra. Let's get this sorted.

Update the HP Smart App

If you're using the HP Smart app, a known issue in version 15.0.1 prevented saving scans properly on macOS. Please update to version 15.1.1 or later to restore full functionality.

Use the HP Smart App to Scan Multiple Pages

Once updated, follow these steps to scan and combine pages:

1. Open HP Smart or HP app.
2. Select your printer and click the Scan tile.
3. Choose Document or Batch scan type (Batch is available on macOS).
4. Place the first page on the scanner glass or in the ADF.
5. Click Scan.
6. After scanning, click + Add to scan additional pages.
7. Once all pages are scanned, click Save or Share.
8. Choose PDF as the file format and save the file.

Alternative: HP Photo and Imaging Software (for older Scanjet models)

If you're using an older HP Scanjet model, you can use HP Director software:

• Scan each page individually.
• When prompted, click Yes to add another page.
• After the last page, click No and save as a PDF.
