1# Now SmartApp connect to Onedrive, but only root folders, I had it organized so that I had a folder for personal scans and another for professional scans, and, obviously they WERE NOT in the root.

2# Every scan comes with a grey tint in it, if scanned directly from the printer pannel. Why?

Hi @Miguel_Almeida

Based on your ongoing issues with the HP SmartApp and your scanning concerns, here’s a detailed guide to help address these:

1. Organizing HP SmartApp with OneDrive

Issue: The SmartApp only accesses root folders in OneDrive and not your organized folders.

Solution:

  • Review App Permissions:
    • Ensure that HP SmartApp has the correct permissions to access all directories in OneDrive.
  • Reauthorize the Connection:
    • Disconnect the OneDrive account from HP SmartApp and reconnect it, ensuring that you grant access to all files and folders.
  • Folder Path Setup:
    • Within the HP SmartApp, look for settings related to file destinations. Ensure you specify the exact path for your personal and professional folders if the app supports it.

If the application lacks this functionality, consider reshuffling your folder structure temporarily or reaching out to HP Support to suggest an improvement.

2. Scans with Grey Tint

Issue: Scans have a grey tint when done directly from the printer panel.

Solutions:

  • Calibration:

    • Check if your scanner requires calibration. There might be an option on your printer panel under settings to recalibrate the scanner.
  • Cleaning the Scanner Glass:

    • Ensure that the scanner glass is clean and free from smudges or debris, as these can affect scan quality.
  • Check Scan Settings:

    • Review the scan settings on your printer panel. Ensure they are set to default or appropriate settings for your scan type. Using the default settings often reduces unintentional tints.
  • Firmware Update:

    • Ensure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. Manufacturers frequently release updates to improve functionality and fix known issues.
  • Driver Update:

    • Use the HP SmartApp or the HP Support Assistant to check if there are any updates available for your printer drivers, as outdated drivers might affect scan quality.
