Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Suddenly, with no intervening event, all options involving scanning have disappeared. One day I could scan to computer, the next day I can't even find the option to scan. Checked for driver updates, says I am up to date. Went to HP Utility to try to "enable" scan feature, and there is no longer any reference to scanning at all. 

Any thoughts would be great. Scanning is critical!!

@Poppisass, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

Have you tried using the Apple Image Capture? Refer to the document HP Printers - How to Scan (Mac)  for help.

 

Let us try uninstalling the printer software completely and then try installing it again. Refer to the document HP Printers - Uninstalling HP Printer Software (Mac)  for help. Once the uninstallation is complete, restart the computer, use this link to download and install the new driver. Configure the printer and try scanning.
