There is no option to attach documents to fax, you can send document by faxing, attachment is something different.

You need to elaborate your question more detailed if you want a better answer.

I understand what you are asking.  I have the same issue with Mobile Fax.  There is a section where you are supposed to add files (either by scanning the document or attaching a PDF file that is already on your computer), but Mobile Fax is not operating properly to allow documents to be attached to send a fax.  

I think it has to do with the latest Windows 10 update that came out on 11/20/2020, Version 20H2.

Seems like HP needs to update its program to be compatible.  I am waiting on the same answer.

When I am on my mobile device I ho into HP Smart, there is the option to Mobile Fax. I go to Mobile fax and you put the information in to where the fax is going to and so on, then there is a cover page option where you can create a cover page, however there is no option to attach a document or files to your fax.  If you go ahead and send the fax it will only sent the fax and cover page if you created one.

Try updating the app or reinstalling it.
