We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Since the latest upgrade on Big Sur to 11.4, I can no longer scan.  Using HP Smart, clicking Scan, after some 20 seconds I receive the message, "Scanner Issue.  A problem with the scanner has been detected.  Restart the printer, and then try again.  If the problem persists, visit the HP Support website. "

 

Nothing in the HP Community seems to address this problem.  

 

Solution???

Are you able to copy?

 

Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart App.

 

Ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware: Update printer firmware

Yes, copying works just fine.  No changes there.  Had used the HP uninstaller and re-installed the HP Smart App.  Still no scanning.  

 

When I click on the Scan button on the HP Smart App, the printer/scanner starts the process just fine.  After about a minute of scanning I receive this message:  

Scanner Issue  A problem with the scanner has been detected.  Restart the printer, and then try again. ....

And after rebooting my WiFi routers, it WORKS!!!!!!
