Blurry Scanning

Using HP Smart Scan

Printer officejet Pro 9018

All of a sudden all printing is blurry even at 300 DPI and was trying to reduce file size and had started scanning at 150DPI and previously things were showing up perfectly.

The easy scan software is referenced in another post but only works on Mac, is there another software to try to rule out a software issue?

For Windows, please try HP Scan Extended using the following software

                ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, for Windows 10:

   (a) Hit Win key,
   (b) Scroll down to HP group/folder,
   (c) Double click "HP Scan Extended"

You can put a shortcut on Taskbar or Desktop

The scanner is connected to the wireless network and when I invoke program it tells me HP Imaging Device is not found, do I need to configure something somewhere?
