Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Just set up this new printer, and everything is working fine except for scanning.  No matter what I put on the glass, I get a file that's just garbage - colored lines and nothing more (see below).   Not sure if there's a way to fix this?  Thank you.Photo_2023-07-27_140044.jpg

Are you able to print and copy normally without any issues?

 

Perform the steps from this document and see if that helps.
