Does anyone know whether the C7671B transparency adapter, apparently designed for the Scanjet range of products, can be used to scan on the Photosmart C7280 All-in-One and would I need anything else for it to operate successfully. I have some 9cm x 6cm negatives that I would like to convert digitally to photos, using photo editing software if necessary.

Hello HevnLGH

I read through the relevant part of the User Guide and although as you rightly say it does refer to film negatives, there are no settings which enable one to scan the negative and get a positive result - anyhow, none that I could see.

Nevertheless, I did scan the negative to get a negative resulting image and then used my photo editing software, which has an 'invert' function, to produce a black and white image. I was then able to make various adjustments to the image to end up with a half decent b/w picture, which by the way was some 60 years old!

Hope this assists someone else at a later stage.

Hi @mikep6dd,

Thanks for taking part in the HP Community, I'd be happy to help! I see you are interested in scanning some negatives with your HP Photosmart C7280.

It looks like this can be possible. I would like you to get started on page 115 of your User Guide to see the How To's.

I hope this helps.
