Product: OfficeJet Pro 7740
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The software for my OfficeJet Pro 7740 offers scanning to OCR (editable rtf documnet) or (non-editable) PDF.

 

My previous OfficeJet Pro 8600 also offered scanning to searchable PDF, which preserved the exact look of the document and allowed both searching and copying of the text within the document.

 

Is there a way to produce a searchable PDF file, using an OfficeJet Pro 7740?

Hi,

From the HP Officejet Pro 7740 software click on Scan a document or photo, then select Save as PDF and click the File Type drop down menu to select Searchable PDF.

 

Click Scan to complete the scan job, you may also press the Save button to crete a custom shortcut for a later use.

The OfficeJet Pro 7740 does not have an option from the scan menue for "Save as PDF". Is there another option?
