Can no longer scan legal documents to computer - missing save as PDF scan shortcut

Trying to use the Scan-to-Computer function from my HP Officejet Pro 8710 to scan a legal-sized document from the ADF to my Window's computer using windows 10 32 bit.  Before the last window's update I was able to do this! 

I used to go to HP TWAIN and was able to select "SCAN to PDF" and set to Legal or Entire Scan Area in Scan shortcuts. Now  HP TWAIN is missing the scan Shortcuts of "save to PDF" and only offers color document, gray document , black and white document short cuts.  These are all set to scan the entire scan size but the problem is my scanner is scanning to pdf so it doesn't use these.  HP TWAIN wont let me add a new scan shortcut for scan to pdf.

HP Twain is stored / available in the same folder as HP Scan.

Check to determine whether you can use HP Scan instead.

HP Twain and HP Scan are very similar software / programs.

If HP Scan is not working as expected, then it is a sign that your Full Feature Software might not be "OK".

That means, a recent Update might have impacted / corrupted the software.

True, if "just" HP Twain has been affected, the same might be true (corrupted software).

The easier option, if HP Scan is working, is to use that software.

Next easier option :

Fully uninstall the Full Feature Software for the printer

Restart the computer and log in 

Download-Save-Install a fresh copy of the software

Restart the computer and log in.

HP Twain – Scan software

Where available, HP Twain is part of the Full Feature Software for your printer.

After the Full Feature Software is installed, HP Twain is available in the same folder as HP Scan.

For example: 

C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP OfficeJet Pro 9020 series\bin

NOTE:  Replace the printer name with your printer

NOTE 2:  When installed, HP Twain also works with Irfanview  software.
